landing in montpellier

Thank you Jean-Pierre for your helpful responses to my last query, i've decided to definetly plan for taking a tent now:).  It seems that i'll likely be starting my trek in montpellier - flying in from london.  Does anyone have a good working knowledge of montpellier and be able to give me directions from the airport to the path?  I'd like to walk from the airport until i'm done the pilgrimage; I'm trying to avoid all forms of mechanical transport once i land.

Re: landing in montpellier

The airport is situated to the south east of the city, so you have to walk to the north west direction. The distance from the airport to the city center is around 12-15 km. You will find roads to walk along. Try to find small roads, with the help of the map 1:100'000 of IGN or the Michelin road map (I think you can buy them at home or at least at the airport of Montpellier). Good luck!

In addition to Jean-Pierre's message, you can have a look at a map here.
