Seeking advice on connecting to the Arles route from the GR65

Hi.  we are 2 pilgrims on the GR 65  currently on the variant GR 46 back from Rocamodour to Cahors (good route!)  We would like to connect to the Arles route at Lescar by taking the deviation from Larreule.  According to the CSJ handbook this is possible by "continuing on minor roads to join the GR653" but we would like to have some more specific information.  how long does this take in terms of stages and is there accommodation  ?  Is there a map that has this missing link?

Thanks for any and all advice,  I can understand French so feel free to write if that is easier.

Hi Hilary,

Lescar is 20km away from Larreule using minor roads. Depending on your last accomodation on the GR65 (Arzacq, Pomps ...), you may not have to look for an intermediate gite (there's a good one in Lescar). With an ordinary 1:100,000 map you should easily find your way. All the best.
